Penguins was a cute documentary from Disney Nature. This movie is about a Penguin named Steve who wants to find a partner and start a family. Ed Helms did a great job narrating the factual information. He also was a delight voicing the thoughts of the main penguin, leading to numerous shockingly funny moments. Alstair Fothergill and Jeff Wilson did a fantastic job directing. The scenery in this documentary is beautiful. The movie does make the odd decision to incorporate the rare pop song and it always feels extremely out of place and sometimes unintentionally funny. At 76 minutes the pacing is fine but a little odd at times. There needed to be a better balance of factual information and cute voiceover. Overall, Penguins is a perfectly innocent documentary worth watching, especially for Penguin lovers.
